Hitching System - Running
The running handle is a refinement of the first system offered to convert a bicycle trailer to a jogging cart. Equinox pioneered the dual purpose bicycle trailer and jogging cart in 1983. We have made a few changes over the years, but the concept is the same. The most efficient means of running with a load is to pull it behind the runner. Equinox makes it easy to convert from bicycle trailer to running cart with a couple of quick release clamps. The handle consists of two lower elements, which are the same as the PT19 tongue minus the clevis and with spring buttons inserted in the ends, two 1 1/8" d height adjusting sleeves, two upper elements of 1" d aluminum tube and a formed 7/8" d aluminum tube. The kit also includes an additional PT23 frame mount.
The handle is made of aluminum tube 7/8", 1" and 1 1/8" in diameter. The lower elements are reinforced with a resin core and fitted with 7/8" d aluminum end fittings to mount to the PT23 frame mounts.
